Dr. DiPaolo is founder and principal partner of integrated leadership initiatives (ili) consulting group, a team that helps people and organizations evolve in thoughtful and meaningful ways. His background gives him a unique perspective on higher education and athletics.

DiPaolo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education, a Master of Arts degree in counseling, and a Ph.D. in leadership education from the University of Michigan. In addition to his academic preparation, he has become a leading national voice in the area of student life and leadership development.

Dr. DiPaolo has earned a number of national honors and awards for his involvement in higher education, including the NIC Award of Distinction and the Jack L Anson Award. As a former high school boys and girls tennis coach, he twice won State Class B Coach of the Year honors (1986, 1993). He also worked for the University of Michigan Football team throughout his undergraduate years. Don knows the practical side of what it means to be involved in athletics and understands the complex challenges inherent in improving the culture.

DiPaolo has extensive experience in strategic planning as well as organizational analysis, leadership and executive coaching, organizational intervention, and leadership development in the academic and corporate arenas.
