OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's women's swimming and diving team added local product Kasey Carpenter to the program who is transferring from Wisconsin. Carpenter, who enters the season as a junior, attended Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy before attending Wisconsin.

During the 2006-07 season, Carpenter finished in 10th in the 400-yard IM, 22nd in the 200-yard backstroke and 19th in the 200-yard IM at the Big Ten Championships. She recorded personal best times of 56.92 in the 100 back and 1:59.54 in the 200 back.

At Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Carpenter won four individual state tiles, including two during her senior season, while also earning US high school All-American honors four times. A captain during her senior season, Carpenter was named the High School Swimmer of the Year by the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Women's Sports Association. Carpenter holds 12 school records at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy along with five conference records and the southwest district record in the 100 backstroke (57.09).
