"In my opinion, Ashley Swinehart is the best player in the MAC. She's a great athlete and a brilliant student to boot. The level of speed and skill she brings to the field is something I'm not sure the MAC has ever witnessed before."
2004: MAC Player of the Year ... CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-America ... NSCAA Third-Team All-Region ... SoccerBuzz.com Third-Team All-Region ... completed her Miami career with a senior season that saw her score 13 goals and three assists for 29 points on 79 shots ... led the MAC in shots and shots per game (4.16) ... stood fourth in the conference in points and points per game (1.53) ... finished third in the MAC in goals and goals per game (0.68) ... her five game-winning goals were third in the conference ... had her fourth career hat trick, a Miami record, against Central Michigan (Oct. 24) in her second-to-last game at Miami Soccer Field ... scored multiple goals three times on the season, finding the back of the net twice at San Jose State (Sept. 5) and in the MAC home opener against Kent State (Sept. 24) in addition to the hat trick versus CMU ... was never held without a shot in any of Miami's 19 games, firing a season-high seven twice against Western Michigan (Sept. 19) and in the hat trick game against CMU ... 2002: A first-team all-MAC honoree and first-team NSCAA all-Great Lakes Region honoree ... a Verizon Academic All-District and academic all-MAC selection in 2002 ... finished the season just outside of the MAC's Top 10 in scoring, totaling 21 points ... tied for fourth in the league with seven assists on the year ... tallied game-winning goal in first-round NCAA Tournament victory over Michigan State (Nov. 15) ... netted first score in Miami's 5-1 defeat of Ohio in the MAC Championship match (Nov. 10) ... recorded game-tying goal in come-from-behind 3-2 defeat of Stony Brook (Aug. 30) ... notched two assists in Sept. 22 defeat of Akron ... assisted on game-winning goal in a thrilling 1-0 overtime defeat of Butler (Oct. 11).
2001: Top reserve for the midfield and forward corps ... played in 18 matches, while making nine starts ... tallied game-winning goal in Sept. 21 defeat of Central Michigan ... matched Miami's biggest single-game scoring output of the season with two goals and two assists for six points in MAC Quarterfinal defeat of Buffalo on Nov. 6 ... recorded two assists in 4-0 defeat of Western Michigan on Oct. 21 ... created numerous scoring opportunities with flip throw-in.
