2006-07: Sprinter who competed in the 400 meters outdoors and 200 meters indoors ... turned in season-best time in the 400 meters (50.02) at the Miami Invitational ... was the anchor leg on Miami's 4x400 meter relay team, which placed fourth at the MAC Championships (3:16.44) ... ran the 400 meters at the conference meet, placing 15th in the preliminaries (50.41) ... indoors, registered season-best time of 23.56 in the 200 meters.
2005-06: Middle distance runner who competed in both the 400 meters and 800 meters ... part of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished fourth at the MAC Championships with a season-best time of 3:14.84 ... also at the conference meet, just missed advancing to the 400-meter finals with a ninth-place time (49.80) ... turned in season-best time in the 400 meters (49.58) at the Miami Invitational, just .05 seconds off his personal best ... ran top time of the season in the 800 meters (1:56.27) at the Billy Hayes Invitational.
2004-05: Competed at Miami's three indoor meets, running the 400 meters at Kentucky (50.76, 16th), the 600 meters at Indiana (1:22.59, 2nd) and the 800 meters at Denison (1:58.47, 3rd).
2003-04: Finished second behind teammate Chris Corgiat in the 600m at the Ohio State Invitational indoors ... Competed in the 400m outdoors, finishing a season-best fifth at the Cardinal Open ... Also took 11th at the Miami Invitational and 12th at the All-Ohio Championships.
High School: Was named all-American after being ranked No. 3 in the nation and winning a state championship in the 4x800 in 2001 ... also won regionals that year ... team won district championships all four years ... named all-region and district all four years ... earned all-Ohio honors twice ... won the President's Academic Award, while at St. Ignatius.
Personal: Son of Bill and Connie Sylvester ... born June 8, 1985 ... majoring in marketing ... brother, Marc, was an all-American in the 800m at Tennessee.
