MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week (10/5, 11/16) ... was the first RedHawk across the tape in all six of the team's races ... won the Dayton Flyer 5K in 15:17 and followed it up with a win in the 8K Miami Invitational in 24:53 ... top 8K time was the following weekend at the Notre Dame Invitational, where he finished in 23:55 ... at the MAC Championships, finished second overall for the second year in a row in 24:54 ... at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, finished 12th in 30:26.3, securing an individual NCAA Championship bid ... at the National meet, finished 62nd of 242 runners in 25:36 ... Track and Field -- Competed in three meets ... indoors won the 3K at Indiana in 8:23.23 ... outdoors, ran the 5K twice, finishing third at the Southern Ohio Cup in 15:07.33 and taking fifth at the MAC Championships in 14:41.29.

Academic All-District ... Took 30th at NCAA Championships to earn all-america status ... Finished second at the always-difficult NCAA regional and was runner-up at the MAC Championship ... posted his season-best time of 24:02 at the MAC Championships ... Miami's top finisher at all but one race in which he competed ... won the Flyer 5K Challenge. Track & Field: Did not compete in the track & field season to study abroad in England.
2002-03: Qualified for the NCAA National meet after he ran the school's fourth-fastest time and one of the nation's fastest times in the 5,000-meter run, clocking in at 14:01.20 at the Penn Relays ... took ninth in his 5,000-meter run heat at the NCAA Championship preliminaries ... finished 15th at the NCAA Championship final in the 5,000-meter run ... named academic all-region and academic all-MAC ... qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 1,500-meter run and the 5,000-meter run ... ran the school's third-fastest time in the 1,500 at the Southern Ohio Cup ... second-team all-MAC and academic all-MAC in cross country ... placed in the top ten for the first three cross country meets ... finished in ninth place at the Purdue Invitational, sixth at the Miami Invitational, and 10th at the Miami Fall Classic where he set a personal record in the 8,000 meter run with a time of 25:22.4 ... placed 69th and 67th in the Minnesota Invitational and the Pre-Nationals, respectively ... tabbed MAC Track and Field Athlete of the Week and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on April 22.
2001-02: Finished fourth at the Indiana Open for the cross country team ... had a fourth-place finish at the Miami Invitational in the 1,500 for the track & field team ... finished second to teammate Jerry Claunch in the 1,500 at the Southern Ohio Cup ... placed eighth at the MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 1,500 ... just missed the Miami all-time top-ten list in the 1,500 with his Miami Invitational finish of 3:50.43.
